Die in Portland, Oregon, lebende Künstlerin Kendall Lujan veröffentlichte ihr erstes Album „Lucky Penny“, das am 21. Februar 2025 erschienen ist. 

Nach der Veröffentlichung ihrer selbstbetitelten Debüt-EP im Frühjahr 2023, die auf den offiziellen Playlists von Spotify und Apple Music zu finden ist, erregte Lujan auch Aufmerksamkeit bei NPRs Tiny Desk, MTV, Rolling Stone Deutschland und dem John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Kürzlich wurde sie von Portlands „Willamette Weekly“ zu einer der besten neuen Bands 2024 gewählt. Sie teilt die Bühne mit Amos Lee, Frazey Ford (von The Be Good Tanyas), Allie Crow Buckley, Early James und The Magnetic Fields. „Lucky Penny“ umfasst viele Genres, darunter Jazz, Folk, Bossa Nova und Indie-Rock. Die geborene Sängerin und Songwriterin stellte eine Studioband mit Micah Hummel (Schlagzeug), Colin Schmidt (Bass) und Alex Milsted (Klavier) zusammen und nahm im Map Room Studio auf. in Portland, Oregon, produziert von Dominik Schmidt. 

Ihr Songwriting ist authentisch, introspektiv und reflektierend. Nach vier Europatourneen in anderthalb Jahren ist Lujan bereit, ihre Vielseitigkeit und ihr Wachstum als Künstlerin zu zeigen. Wir freuen uns sehr auf sie.
